After surgery

After surgery, the patient is given a special support bra and patches to reduce scars. Usually in the first few days after surgery the patient can feel a slight discomfort associated with pain, which can be easily controlled by oral painkillers.

In the first few days after breast surgery the breasts will be swollen and painful, with slight bruising. Initially, you may experience decreased sensitivity of the nipples and breast skin. Within a few weeks, breast swelling subsides, and the nipples regain their normal feeling. Only in exceptional cases is there a permanent decrease in sensitivity of the nipple. Removal of stitches occurs after 14 days. Be sure to avoid strenuous exercise for two months.

Possible complications

Complications and unwanted results are very rare, but sometimes can happen. The most common complications are infections that prolong the healing time. Normally, these do not change the final results of treatment. Complications that may affect the outcome of the surgery are hypertrophic scars or post-operative hematoma.
